Pen Names, Psuedonyms, whatever they are called.
What do you think about them?
I am considering submitting under one.
Reasons for (pro?):

Genre – lezbo novel might attract the wrong attention
Family – I am sure my mom would like it if my name wasn’t on the front of a lezbo book.
Lorna – one of the recurring characters works in a post office….
Future books – I am considering making one of my completed novels into a YA series. Publisher might/will hesitate if my name is on lezbo books.
Other – Mark Twain vs Samuel Clemens
Reasons against (con?):

Genre – Be proud and stand up for myself and my alleged choices
Family – They’d never read the damn things so who cares?
Lorna – Like her coworkers would ever read it??
Future books – Such a difference in genres…would they cross?

I prefer to call them “chosen names”.
PRO: Some real names just suck.
Some people have an addiction called eating that use of real name might jeopardize.
Just to try something different.
CON: Must be terribly difficult trying to remember who you are at the moment.
Always tell the truth and you’ll never be caught in a lie.
