Million Word March

Jess has a post about a statement from Stephen King where he says that a writer has to first write a million words of shit before they write something good enough.

Therefore, writers everywhere are tallying their WIPs to see if they are ‘there’ yet. Like several others, I linger within the 600K limit: 632180

    BG1 – Kelly/Grace – 79149 (finished, awaiting final edit)
    BG2 – Nikki/Ellen – 45435 (in progress)
    BG3 – Harri/Liz – 15398 (in progress)
    BG4 – Rain/Jo – 4647 (just an idea)
    BG5 – Peaches/Sam – (just an idea)

Simple Sarah – 129439 (in rewrite, again)
Long Lea – 65355 (prequel to SS)
SS NaNo – 51134 (a very different version of SS)

    Scholarly – 3160 (first attempt)
Centric – 15037 (2nd attempt, much better plot)

MfW – 131739 (first book I ever finished and it shows)
PaPoP – 8657 (sequel to MfW, got tired of the damn MCs and quit)

Airport – 16963 (started out as a romantic mystery but started going erotica)
Guide – 20503 (definitely erotica; no fading to black in this one!)
    Truck Stop – 10538 (YADR)

PW – 18345 (mostly a collection of short stories with a common MC)
Ryan’s – 4417 (collection of short stories for my nephew)

And other short stories, one published and one is submitted to a contest, total 7898.

Only 367820 before I will have written enough. According to Stephen King that is.
