Snails Up Close

Every time I think Mobius has gone to the great pond in the sky, he moves again or peeks out of his shell. Today, I got out my new camera and took some photos of him and another trumpet snail.

The one below is out of focus kinda but get over it. That is Mobius on the right (the string thing is a root). The one on the left didn’t want his photo taken and kept trying to crawl away (that black blob in front of the shell is him).

The next two images are of their underneaths. This really shows how much Mobius lost. The other snail is stubby too, a common thing since they live in the rocks. Mobius was, and still is, in his own special way, a big snail.

This image is to show their size. That fork is ye ol’ generic dinner fork.

I don’t know what to do about Mobius. Lorna and I think it was not just the accident that may have slowed him down. He is such a big snail, he must be old (in snail years).
