On the east coast of the US, day 2 of NaNoWriMo is drawing to a close.
Some writers are still floating from the high, others are perhaps doubting their decision to even start. At this early in the game, we can look at our totals and sigh if it is over the necessary daily goal. If it is under, then we do some quick math and, without panicking, realize ‘hey, I can still do this.’
I admit, I am a Word Count Queen. I like seeing some progress for the day, for my efforts. I also like to brag and boast. 😀
I aim to do the 1667 per day effort, aiming more for 2000 to leave padding for bad days and Sundays (football is slightly higher on the priority list than NaNoWriMo).
If you are “into” word counts, how are you doing?
If you are more into the emotional, non-tangible, then, well, um, how des it feel?

So far, I’m at 3,147. Not as high as I’d like for the first two days, but it’s over what I wrote last year total. 😉 So, I’m not feeling too bad. Plus, unlike you who must watch Football 😛 , I have no interest in sports on tv and I’m planning on going to regular Sunday write-ins so I plan to make up the slack then.
Though admittedly, I’m very jealous of your progress.
